Originating from Cincinnati, Dr. Ma is ready and passionate about helping patients regain and maintain their best oral health. Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?
It was after working at a corporate job for four years that Dr. Ma decided to pursue a career in dentistry. Being able to offer people dental care provided him the sense of purpose and fulfillment that he had been looking for, so he set off for this new occupation. Today, he loves interacting with his patients daily and is always happy to come to work!
Dr. Ma, whose expertise and dedication embody the spirit of our practice proudly carries on the legacy of his uncle, Dr. Moeller, our revered founder.
Additionally, he was raised by his mother, Melissa, who was a dental hygienist at Gerome and Patrice Family Dentistry for well over three decades prior to retirement. This exposed him to the environment of helping patients improve their smiles and quality of life, which only increased his interest in practicing dentistry.
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
Dr. Ma first attended the University of Cincinnati for his degree in Chemical Engineering before deciding to pursue dentistry. Prior to studying at the University of Kentucky for dental school, he was a dental assistant/researcher for the University of California San Francisco. After graduating with his dental degree, he’s undergone various continuing education courses in several topics, including treatment planning, handling complex cases, and implants. He is also interested in pursuing more CE classes on subjects like endodontics, sleep dentistry, and esthetics.
Dr. Ma remains up to date with the latest in dentistry through his membership in professional organizations such as:

Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?
Aside from treating and maintaining pearly whites, Dr. Ma spends much of his time keeping busy with things like cooking, playing video games, and playing with his dog Holly. He also enjoys being open-minded and discussing/learning different topics like the environment, politics, and social issues. He also loves to stay active by working out and playing sports like volleyball, basketball, and golf.
